Introducing Blaine Walsh...

My name is Blaine Walsh. I have been a driving instructor for 16 years and an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) trainer for 10 years. I have trained hundreds of people to become ADIs.  I have helped thousands more to qualify via my in-car real life training videos on my original website: aditraining.tv

I have a passion for good quality training and, having sat in on over 600 Part 3 tests, I keep myself updated and know what is expected and required to pass.

The current unregulated training industry is flawed with misinformation, lack of ongoing support and advice during and following qualification combined with expensive training packages that make false promises and contain hidden agendas.  I believe that with correct training the infamously hard Part 3 test is possible for any hard working PDI who also has a passion to qualify and teach to a high standard.

My own ADI training was, with hindsight, inadequate resulting in me failing my Part 3 test at all 3 attempts. Realising my training was flawed I reapplied and started my training again. On the first day of retraining my new trainer told me it was all about 'control and education'....and the missing part of the jigsaw fell into place. Something so simple changed my whole understanding of Part 3 and ever since then I've had a desire to support other PDIs.

Once qualified many ADIs report feeling isolated, unsure how to keep updated with learner test changes, new teaching techniques, real learner teaching dilemmas, looming check test pressures or general business dilemmas. This site offers advice and information to ADIs facing 'on the job' issues, helps to maintain a high standard of post qualification teaching as well as facilitating ADI networking nationally.

My own CPD plans include my intention to take coaching training and fleet training and then pass on my knowledge via this website. I am also looking to expand my 'train the trainer' ideas with plans to offer a comprehensive training programme and regular support and ongoing learning for ADI trainers. Watch this space!

I live on the south coast with my partner and fellow ADI, Louise and what seems like hundreds of children! (3!)

Welcome and enjoy......!
